Speaking from experience I know for a fact that food may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Egypt. Let me guess, the first thing that pops into your mind is probably an image of a pharaoh, the pyramid or maybe even a camel in the sahara dessert! Well allow me to let you in on a little secret, even though Egypt is best known for its ancient civilization, Egyptian cuisine is steeped in history and tradition.  Egypt actually has one of the oldest food cultures in the world. With its key geographic location Egypt served as a central outpost for the spice traders that were shipping goods from Asia to Europe. That coupled with the abundance of the fertile Nile River valley Egypt enjoy’s a colorful and diverse cuisine. Many of the foods in modern day Egyptian cuisine are inspired by the ancient times and remain unchanged since the days of the pharaohs and the Roman Empire!

What We Do
